Hi, my name is Christina Anderson. I am scrambling right now to save my farm. Oklahoma has gone through a drought this year, forcing me to bring in truck loads of hay, about 16k worth. In an average year, I can pay for alfalfa and grass on a monthly basis, so this was a very crazy expense I was not planning on. I let my farm and tractor payments fall behind to pay for the feed expense. I was sure I could make them up from my farmers market sales. This fall, the markets have slowed to about half leaving me trying to figure out how to catch up.
I would sincerely appreciate your help in saving the only Grade A Farmstead Goat Dairy making cheese in Oklahoma. As a single female US Army Veteran farmer, I know how to work hard and learn from my mistakes. I will never make the mistake of not having winter hay cash on hand.
The goats and I will have two open houses as a thank-you for all people who help save the dairy. The goats will also send out Thank you cards for keeping their home open and running. Thank you for your time in reading to the end.
