Protect The Creature Conservancy and Its Animals
Tax deductible
The Creature Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating the community about conservation and providing a home for over 300 animals. The Conservancy has been a part of the Ann Arbor community for almost two decades. Not only do they provide care for many injured, endangered, and rescued wildlife, but they are also an extension of education in the community. Thousands of school children and university students pass through their doors each year to learn more about the world around them.
Unfortunately, The Creature Conservancy has faced issues with the local township government and neighbors. Select township members have been persistently impeding The Creature Conservancy’s efforts to collaborate with the township while seemingly supporting the neighbors' efforts to undermine their work. Since this issue escalated over a year ago, they have faced opposition so intense that they have been forced to hire legal help. The Conservancy has put tens of thousands of dollars into legal fees, engineering fees, and staff time dedicated to finding a solution to these issues, and this cost is only expected to rise.
As a non-profit operating on a tight budget, this dispute could shut them down and force them to rehome hundreds of animals who have been in their care for most of their lives. As they continue to fight for these animals, The Creature Conservancy needs our help. Please consider donating to keep this gem in our community alive.
