We Want to Save the Cat Café!

Disclaimer I am not part of the cat cafe, just a local girl who is very passionate about it and want to do whatever I can to keep them open.

We are heartbroken to share the news that the beloved Cosy Cat Café in Herne Bay is set to close on 30th January. This special café is home to 16 rescue cats and is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who give their time and passion to care for these wonderful animals.

The café is more than just a place for coffee — it’s a safe, comforting space that brings joy to the community. It offers companionship, calm, and a moment of escape for people going through difficult times, all while enjoying a warm drink or meal surrounded by cats.

We would hate to see such a caring and meaningful establishment disappear, so we’ve created a GoFundMe for anyone who wants to help keep the café open. Whether it’s 5p or £1, every contribution matters. All funds raised will go directly toward covering the café’s rent and helping ensure its future — for the cats who call it home and the volunteers who are devoted to them.

If, despite our efforts, we’re unable to save the café, all proceeds will be donated to local charities, ensuring the money still supports cats in need.
