Save the Chandelier

2424 Swiss Avenue has been home to a beautiful Baccarat crystal chandelier since 1974, known as The World Famous Chandelier, and the centerpiece of the Grand Crystal Palace Dinner Theater.

In June we were notified that the owners planned to auction it for an estimated value of $150,000. No argument we made could persuade them to allow it to remain in the building and the chandelier was removed from her home of 45 years. This piece leaves behind many wonderful memories and some large sockets to fill. 

Many in The Church and Lizard Lounge community have expressed a desire to help save the chandelier, and we now have that opportunity. We received an offer for a fraction of the intended auction price, where she would be restored to her full splendor and returned home to 2424 Swiss Avenue.

Donations are greatly appreciated and should the goal not be met all contributions will be refunded.
