Dear friends, neighbors, and kindhearted supporters,

We’re reaching out today on behalf of a wonderful family who is experiencing an unimaginable hardship.

While out for a simple walk with her three children and their newly adopted dog, this loving family was suddenly and violently attacked by an unleashed dog. The attacking dog came charging from a car with Georgia license plates, and despite the chaos that unfolded, the owner gave a fake name and invalid phone number.

Tragically, their dog sustained life-threatening injuries, including multiple punctures to both lungs, and had to undergo emergency surgery to survive. The cost of the lifesaving veterinary care has already surpassed $13,000, a staggering burden for any family—let alone two parents who both work as dedicated teachers, constantly giving back to their students and community.

Even more heartbreaking is the emotional toll this event has taken on their three young children, who witnessed the terrifying attack. They are deeply traumatized by what should have been a joyful walk with their new furry friend.

This is a family who shows up for others every day—now, we hope the community can show up for them.
