The Bronx Native Shop opened up as a 2 weeks pop-up shop on Oct. 2nd 2017. Our goal was to create a cultural hub, an inclusive space that served as a platform for artists, creatives, entrepreneurs and more. An interactive shop that showcased an authentic Bronx experience. A storefront that sold merchandise which identified, represented and empowered our people. The 2 week pop-up turned into a permanent shop that has been standing for 2 year and a half now. Through this time we have cemented ourself as a Bronx staple that represents social impact. We have hosted everything from community events, open mics, workshops, financial literacy sessions, school trips, cultural events, fundraisers, fashion shows and more. We have had people like Tarana Burke the founder of the #metoo movement give talks to collaborating with AOC as one of the first locations she campaigned at. We have opened up the shop for all Bronx creatives and collaborations between other businesses and organizations. The shop has been featured in shows like Viceland’s HUSTLE as well platforms like NYT, NYP, NY1, ABC, Netflix, News 12, Bronx Net and more. Because of unprecedented circumstances this iconic shop is at risk of closing. We recently had to close our shop for about 2 months now because of COVID19 cutting our profits 50%. We ask you to please look inside your heart and help Save The Bronx Native Shop. We want to stay open and continue to be vehicle of change not only in our community but the World. Please help us stay alive.

PS: I have never been the type to ask for money but unprecedented circumstances call for unprecedented actions. We have worked so hard for our people and we don’t want to see something so beautiful and precious come to an end.
