Crystal Beach has a long history that includes many unique structures still standing today. As residents of the area, we were compelled to create this community initiative with the hopes of restoring and repairing these gates (pillars) to their former glory. Restoring the gates would add some historic elegance back to the entrances of the three streets off of Erie Road. We have an original lantern (no glass) that we have discovered can be replicated by a local steel fabricator for all 6 pillars. And with the addition of a solar powered LED light  we can add lighting safely and sustainably. 
The funds would cover the costs of materials, labour (for the masons), lanterns and lighting.  Anything over and above what we spend through Go Fund Me will be donated back to the community.
With fundraising beginning now, we can hopefully raise enough funds to start in May once the Stay at Home Order is lifted. 
We are extremely grateful and happy to be living in a community that is appreciative of the robust and colourful history of Crystal Beach.
