Please help us stay alive: Gaza Emergency Evacuation
Donation protected
Dear Humanity,
I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my beloved friend Nazeer Alashi and his family. The family lost their home from an airstrike on Gaza in October. Since then many of them have been displaced and unfortunately some of them have been missing since November. The family members' names are as follows:
Nabeela (mother) 55 Yrs old Photographed 2nd from right
Safa (Daughter) 24 Yrs old Photographed far right
Shareif (Grandson) 8 Yrs old Photographed middle
Juman (Granddaughter) 5 Yrs old Photographed 2nd from left
Ahlam (Daughter/mother of Shareif & Juman) 31 Yrs old Photographed far left
The family home was destroyed and their hopes, dreams, a lifetime of memories and hard work were gone in only a blink of an eye.
After being displaced they were forced to separate and stay with different relatives. On the 10th of November Mohammed, his wife Hanaa and their son Adam left a relatives' home for a walk, located at Ideya Crossroads / Alshefa Street, Gaza strip. I regret to say they have never returned since this day and no contact has been made from them in almost 5 months. Everyone, please, keep them in your heart, that one day we will know what happened to those precious souls.

The following day, on November 11th, the rest of the family members were ordered to leave Gaza and must head south to Khan Yunis. Shortly after arriving, the family began suffering from undesirable conditions and every day fearing for their lives and not knowing what will become of them.
I'm certain that I speak for every Palestinian who is suffering right now when I say they are constantly living in fear day and night. Not being able to have a decent night of sleep because the sounds of bombing are shaking the atmosphere and only wondering if they will see the light of morning. Their children are crying and begging for it to stop as their ears are ringing and terror upon their little faces, but all you can do is hug them closely, look in their eyes and tell them everything will be fine even though you feel hopeless and you don't know if you will still be alive when the day breaks. For some, the morning has come and God has shined another day, in which they are indescribably grateful! (Such a resilient set of people) Their only goal now is to try and get enough food to sustain them and they care not of their well being as long as the children eat first and have the bare minimum of their needs met, and this task is difficult to say the least. We as adults, sometimes, can persevere a while longer, but when you have the safety and care of young children to worry about it can be overwhelming and suffocating.
Every day that goes by thinking to yourself is this day my last? And being filled with hopelessness and despair. Daunting reminders that you won't grow old, you won't get married, you won't see your friends again, you won't kiss your child again, you won't hear your mother's sweet voice again, and angry inside because you can't understand why you must die just because you were born in a war zone?

This photo was taken after the family escaped from the destruction of an airstrike. Unfortunately, that sweet little 5 year old girl on the cover photo was struck by debri from a bombing while she was sleeping. Subsequently, the dwelling where they were staying began collapsing in various parts.
God was merciful and spared her life! She is recovering well and praise be to God there will be no long term damage!
To all of the compassionate souls in the world, we humbly ask you to help in any way. Even if you aren't able to donate, then please just share this campaign. This sweet family is in desperate need of your help and everyday that goes by without evacuating, they are risking their lives. As you can see the danger is ever so imminent!
Our goal is to raise funds so this family can evacuate to Egypt. The 6 family members will need to pay permit and crossing fees to leave from the Rafah border, and traveling expenses to their lodging destination in Egypt. Additionally, upon arriving at their destination in Egypt, the family will need to cover the cost of rent, food and minimal essentials until they can find a means to sustain themselves. Also, (Gofundme) will charge a 2.9% transaction fee on the total amount raised and $0.30 per donation.
The funds will be sent from the U.S. where I reside and transferred to my dear friend, Nazeer Alashi, who resides in Kuwait. His mother, siblings, niece, nephew and brother-in-law are all relying on him. As soon as the funds are raised, he can begin making arrangements and payments so that his family can begin escaping their suffering conditions. We will post pictures and updates once the family begins their evacuation and arrives to safety.
Myself, Nazeer, and his whole family will be eternally grateful to all of you for your compassion and generosity!
May God bless each and every one of you!
