Save the 1836 Hook Brothers Organ

Tax deductible
I don't know if you know this, but St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Northfield, Vermont, contains a piece of history.

The oldest 2-manual Hook Brothers organ in existence is right in central Vermont.  The Hook brothers built some of the finest examples of early American pipe organs.

But the mighty Hook, built in 1836 is now 184 years old, and though it still serves the community faithfully every week, it has some issues.  The most pressing of which is a recent infestation of mold and mildew.

The good news is, the damage is minimal, and it can be easily saved.  The bad news is that it is expensive to have all 738 pipes removed and cleaned (not to mention put back together).

We're raising money to help offset the costs to St Mary's Episcopal Church, and any donation will help make an impact.

This piece of history needs the support of the entire Northfield, Historic Preservation, and Organ Enthusiast communities to be saved and preserved.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause.  It means so much to the St. Mary's community.
