Hello, My name is Andre LuJan, I am the director of Texas Through Time, a Texas non-profit Museum located in Hillsboro,
in the historic Fred O. Grimes building located at 110. N. Waco Street.
The Museum and nonprofit were formed in April 2018 to preserve and promote Texas' rich fossil history. We are a truly one of kind museum focused almost exclusively on Texas fossils from all ages and formations. We have in our collections and on display some amazing fossils like our Permian exhibit that outshines even the Perot Museum in Dallas! In fact we have on display an original fossil that the Perot Museum displays a cast of in their “life then and now hall”. Some of our finds will soon be national and possibly world headlines and will rewrite some of our paleo past!We have discovered a new genus of armored dinosaur and large crested hadrosaur with roots in South America. We are completely free to the public and operate on the generous donations of people like you. We offer tours, classes and special talks & events.
To help the museum grow and ensure it success, I have donated my entire personal fossil collection. More recently my wife and I sold our beautiful farm and moved our family of 6 into a camper to continue to use our personal funds to keep the non-profit headed in the right direction knowing full well these funds are a donation. Texas Through Time has no paid staff, no paid board members and operates 100% on volunteers and donations. Through this whole experience I have seen the absolute best in people and the true joy and reward of building something that is in the public trust and will hopefully continue to have a positive impact on the community, state and science for decades to come!
The museum has come so far! But we still have many expenses that we cant cover and my family and I cannot personally donate to fund any longer. I am asking first and foremost for you to come and visit! Please come and enjoy this wonderful place that was created for YOU to see and enjoy amazing Texas fossils. If you are able please donate to keep this museum alive and be a part of helping it grow! We hope to have 10,000 real fossils on display and several key exhibits that will be a destination for any fossil enthusiast. The funds that are being asked for will be used to update some of our facilities to make your experience better.

*Preparation, curation and restoration of our fossils
*Environmentally friendly hand dryers in the restrooms.
*Additional display cases and exhibit stands.
* Lighting to showcase our incredible fossils.
* Heating & A/C upgrades to protect the fossils and keep you comfortable when you visit.
*Educational material to share with the local schools to promote paleontology.
*Funds for a fully interactive website to share our museum with the world!
