Hi, my name is Pamela, and I am fundraising for my friend, Teresa Guiterrez, who was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

On June 8th, 2022, Teresa got the dreaded call from her doctor's office saying she had breast cancer. At only age 39, with no history of breast cancer in the family, this was quite a shock to her and her family. While the initial outlook and prognosis were good, on June 14th, Teresa learned there might be more cancer than initially captured in the initial scans.

Many more tests, biopsies, scans, and surgery await her - additionally, it is still unknown if she will need radiation, chemo, a lumpectomy, or double mastectomy.

While she is insured, the deductibles and copays have already started to stack up. She has missed a lot of work and will be taking a leave of absence, reducing her solo income. Add increasing gas prices and rising food costs; this was not the summer Teresa had planned for her family.

She is the loving mother of two girls, Tori (12) and Callie (11), and lives in Sullivan, Wisconsin. She enjoys spending her time at Brewers Games with her boyfriend Cory.
