Dear Friends.
As you know, Taylor's has moved to online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I miss seeing everyone in person and hope you are all healthy and well in this uncertain time. Unfortunately, as only a small number of students have been able to join over zoom, Taylor's is facing a dire financial situation. They may not be there for us when this pandemic is over and I do not want that to happen. As a parent, and as a karate student, Taylor's has become an integral part of my life and, indeed, they are like family to me.
All of the instructors love working with our children; teaching respect, perseverance, and the value of hard work, bringing together a diverse community, and empowering young girls and women to recognize their strength.
Recently, some of us parents became aware of the immediate need for funds and hoped there were other parents who would join us to help keep our karate school going. Taylor's needs your help because the rent alone costs $8300 a month (even during a pandemic!) and other operating costs are around $4000 a month. With reduced attendance, they are nowhere near meeting these costs.
Your support now, no matter how large or small, will mean so much. We want Taylor's to continue to serve our community and provide a safe and supportive space for our children.
Please share this with your friends, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents - anyone who cares about your child's continued advancement in Karate. This pandemic has effected all of us, either physically or financially. I know it is a big ask right now, but I want Taylor's to be there when this is all finally over.
