Hello! I’m Hannah. I’m a friend of Aya’s from the US and I’m helping her raise urgent funds for her baby son. First, here are the main things to know:
- Four year old Taha is fighting for his life after exposure to white phosphorus gas.
- Taha’s mother, Aya, evacuated with him to Cairo, Egypt for treatment, but they’ve run out of money for the care he desperately needs.
- Your donation can continue Taha’s treatment and save his life.
Please don’t hesitate to donate, even a small amount can help Aya and Taha. If you have questions please feel free to reach out to me.
Below is Aya’s story in her own words:
I am Aya, a mother of three children: Hala, 10 years old; Muhammad, 9 years old; and Taha, 3 years old. When the war on Gaza began, my house was destroyed, and we were displaced to the south, living in a dilapidated tent. My child Taha was exposed to white phosphorus gas and developed oxygen deficiency.
Taha lost his speech and movement and began to convulse constantly. Water, medicine, and food were unavailable; his condition deteriorated, and his heart muscle weakened.
Taha and I were evacuated to Cairo, Egypt and had to leave Hala and Muhammad behind. Taha underwent open-heart surgery, but he hasn't been able to speak yet. He's currently undergoing physical therapy to try to walk again, but we don’t have the money to continue his treatment.
Taha is going to undergo another heart surgery, a heart valve replacement, but we can't afford the treatment or the surgery. The hospital needs money from him for his stay there last week.
By donating you are directly funding Taha’s medical treatment.
Please don’t hesitate to support, even a little bit can help.
