Hi my name is Chelsea, and if you know me then you definitely know my dog Arya ❤️ I'm raising money to get her life-saving surgery and treatment for cancer.

Arya was recently diagnosed with a tumor that is preventing her from going to the bathroom normally. She needs immediate surgery to remove it along with two nearby lymph nodes that are pressing on her organs. It is an urgent procedure, and without it she doesn't have any time left.

This past year, I’ve taken Arya to several vets because I knew something wasn’t right. Each time they skipped some basic routine exams that could have caught this earlier, and I was always told nothing was wrong or that she's fine. I remember feeling so frustrated and helpless; it made me feel like I was being a hypochondriac for thinking something was always wrong with my dog. I spent so much money trying to get answers, only to keep hearing the same thing.

On October 31, Arya suddenly got a fever of 105 and wouldn't move. I rushed her to the emergency where they finally discovered that she has a tumor that has metastasized and needs to be removed right away.

The surgery alone is expected to cost around $15,000 with additional chemotherapy treatment after estimated at about $6,000. I've spent $3,000 these past few days with the urgent visits, tests, and care.

With surgery and treatment, the oncologist and surgeon say she will have another good year and a half of a happy life, and that time means everything to me. Arya is truly my best friend, family, and really the only thing I have - she has been my everything these past 9 years.

If you know Arya, you know she is truly a special dog - the sweetest soul and really an angel in dog form. I can't imagine losing her like this when I know she still has so much life left in her. I'm experiencing the "I'd give anything for" moments hard - one more hike, one more adventure, one more road trip with her. These things that are easy to take for granted are really the ones that mean the most.

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, and it’s difficult for me to ask for help - but I wouldn’t be asking if I didn’t truly need it.
