Save Superchief Gallery: Keep LA’s Home for Underground Art
Donation protected
Help Save Superchief Gallery. Over the past few months we have made strides in building a sustainable future for the space, but we are a month away from needing to close our doors permanently. In order to avoid immediate closure, we have launched this fundraiser, and will be having several fundraising events during September. If you're able to help, it's greatly appreciated. If you can't help financially, then there are no hard feelings. Please spread the word and help us build a sustainable future for this community.
Superchief Gallery has been a vital home for underground art, emerging artists, and street culture in Los Angeles for over a decade. The gallery has hosted hundreds of exhibitions, uplifted thousands of artists, particularly those from underrepresented communities, and built a space that is has become a vital part of LA's emerging art landscape. Counterculture, inclusivity, and community are at the heart of everything we do.
In a city where independent galleries are rapidly disappearing, Superchief has remained a sanctuary for creativity that doesn’t fit the mainstream mold.
But now, we are facing closure. Rising expenses, rent, and the cost of paying our staff have pushed us into debt, and without immediate support, we will not be able to stay open beyond October. Through Patreon, we’ve made it halfway toward monthly sustainability, but we need your help to bridge the gap. Every contribution goes directly toward keeping the lights on, paying staff fairly, and continuing to provide accessible exhibitions and events, mutual aid relief for our community, educational programming, film screenings, and more.
By donating, you’re not just saving a gallery. You’re protecting a community space where art, resistance, and culture collide. Please join us in keeping Superchief alive for the artists and audiences who need it most.
