Sule International Academy is an accessible program for underprivileged families, orphans, widows, and teenage mothers and their children, located just outside of Kampala, Uganda. Rent for the land where the school is located was recently doubled from $1,000 to $2,000, a huge increase that the school will be hard pressed to pay on its own.
Please donate to help the children continue their education! Without the academy, they would receive no schooling at all, and some would go without food.

Sule International Academy was originally founded as a program to help teenage mothers stay involved in their education by providing care for the children during class time. By age 19, 54% of women have given birth, so there is a large demand for our institution. As more teenage mothers joined the program, it was quickly realized that the children needed their own dedicated lessons and programming. Now, the academy continues to help young mothers with vocational training and education, and regularly hosts around 150 grade age students.
In Uganda, schools run by the government require fees for attendance, and many families cannot pay to send their children to school. For those who do get to attend school, a small number finish their studies and instead are urged by parents to find ways of making money for the family.
Our goals include:
ø Educating and empowering responsible, broad-minded professional pupils to act as future visionaries in our community
ø Stimulating creativity and providing innovative class types that surpass traditional children’s education
ø Building an open community of children, scholars, and others for free exchange of ideas to impact the community at large
ø Delivering learning that is active, creative, and ongoing among children and young peopleø Creating home-like atmospheres for orphans, broken families, and the underprivileged to find comfort and respite
ø Fighting society ills of poverty, disease, ignorance, and unemployment from a foundational level and breaking the cycle of poverty
