Hello, my name is Gaby. On March 30, my dog Suki escaped and ran away. We didn’t notice she was gone till an hour after. That whole night, all we could think about was if she was okay and how scared she must be. Thankfully, we were able to find her the next day, and all I can tell you is how relieved I was that she was still alive but unfortunately with a broken bone. We were able to get a splint and X-rays done, but the surgery is going to cost us even more. For anyone who knows Suki and has met her, you’ll know that she is very sweet and loving. She has so much energy, and it hurts us seeing her in this state. Our only options were surgery or to amputate her leg, but because she’s so young and has so much life and energy in her, we want to avoid having to amputate her. Vet bills are extremely expensive, with the average surgery costing around $2,000 to $5,000, not including the consultations, medications, and follow-up appointments. We want to try to get her the surgery as soon as possible so she can start recovery and go back to her old loving self.
