Sugar #A2698354 has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. She arrived at the shelter on June 6, 2025 with a painful coronoid fracture in her elbow, leaving her unable to walk or bear any weight on her left front leg. While in the shelter’s care, she was also spayed while pregnant, a heartbreaking ordeal for any animal.
For over two months, Sugar waited in pain, with the only option offered being amputation. But then, something incredible happened.
A compassionate adopter saw her online and knew they had to act. They adopted Sugar on August 24th, determined to start the vet care she desperately needed.
Since then, Sugar has been evaluated by two independent veterinarians, both of whom believe her leg can be saved with surgery. Now, we need your help to make that possible.
We’re raising urgent funds to help get the surgery she needs to save her leg. Her adopter is doing everything they can to give her the life she deserves, but the cost of surgery is more than they can manage alone.
Sugar’s leg can be saved but time is critical. With your support, we can cover the cost of her surgery and give her the chance to live a full, pain-free life on all fours.
Every dollar makes a difference. Please help us give Sugar the second chance she deserves.
