I am writing this on behalf of my aunt Omiama, who suffers from a rare hereditary form of eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa, which destroys her retina and causes her seeing difficulties, now she is completely night blind and can barely see at daytime, her visual field is deteriorating and narrowing by the day, and currently she can only see objects in the center of her vision (tunnel vision)

she has this disease since childhood, but in the past few years her eyesight has worsened and this is led her to quit her beloved job as a math teacher, and even more so, quit her social life to avoid embarrassment

seeing her like this has always worried and hurt us, so we searched non stop for a treatment to her condition, until we recently found a clinic in Germany called restore vision clinic that treated similar cases by using electrical therapy, so we immediately contacted them and they assured us that there is a possibility to improve her vision to the point where she can become independent

I can’t describe the optimism and the joy she felt when heard these words

we got an appointment with the clinic (form 28.11.2022 till 08.12.2022) and we managed to pay the deposit (980 EUR )

But then shortly after that a war broke out in Sudan (our country )and unfortunately it is still ongoing and as a result the travel cost double 10 times and we have been greatly affected by the financial hardships of the war.

now we sadly find ourselves unable to afford the cost of her treatment journey; which’s details as follows;

€4000 to the Round trip flights ( for two persons as she can’t travel alone )

€5520,00 the remaining amount of treatment sessions

Making the total amount we wish to raise is about €9,500 .

and this devastates her as she has been counting the hours to the moment when she will finally be able to see life in its colors and say goodbye to the darkness she has lived with for so long.
