Save Striper: Urgent Cancer Treatment Fund
Donation protected
Updated 6/4
We received the heartbreaking news that Striper has cancer. They found a mast cell tumor in his spleen. We spoke with an oncologist and surgeon and chose to have the spleen surgically removed. The surgery was June 2nd. He ended up having to stay two nights instead of one because his blood levels dropped and he was anemic. They gave him a blood transfusion and kept him the extra night. I was able to pick him up June 4th.
They originally thought that there was a very small mass on his liver that was potentially cancerous. But during surgery they found that the whole liver could potentially be cancerous. They took a biopsy to be sent off for testing. We have to wait two weeks for those results to come back. In the mean time he will need to go back for a blood test to check his levels. I am unsure of what the next steps are going to look like for my sweet boy.
We are asking for good thoughts, prayers and healing energy for Striper during his healing process and possible continued cancer treatments.
Unfortunately, vet bills pile up really quickly and we are hoping to raise money for his treatment. If you’d like to donate and are financially able to, we would be extremely grateful. This would go towards the appointments, medications and any further testing or procedures he may need.
Thank you so much!
