Hi friends, family, and fellow dog lovers,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart to ask for help for our sweet English Bulldog, Stew. He’s not even 2 years old yet — his birthday is this September — and he’s now facing a terrifying and unexpected medical crisis.

A few weeks ago, Stew developed flank alopecia (patchy hair loss on his sides), and his wonderful vet recommended running a thyroid panel to look for an underlying cause. That test led to more diagnostics, and ultimately a CT scan — where we received heartbreaking news: Stew has a large mass in his chest (mediastinal mass) and fluid around his lungs.

Because the mass is located dangerously close to his heart, a needle biopsy isn’t safe. Based on the scan and Stew’s age, lymphoma is strongly suspected. It’s a serious, aggressive disease — but it can be treatable with early diagnosis and care.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Stew has pet insurance through Lemonade, which we’re incredibly thankful for — but it only covers 80% of costs, and he is now close to maxing out his annual limit. On top of that, we have already maxed out multiple credit cards caring for Stew and our beloved French Bulldog, Betty, who we tragically lost to cancer less than two months ago.

We are still grieving the loss of Betty, and now we’re doing everything in our power to fight for Stew’s life. The financial weight is heavy, and we’re humbly asking for help.

Stew is still so young, full of love, and has so much life left to live. He’s goofy, affectionate, and has brought endless joy to our lives — and we are determined to give him every chance possible to beat this.
