Save Steve's Smile

Steve Foster is an amazing man who has overcome a series of unfortunate life events.  As a young man at only the age of 20 he suffered a head injury due to a freak accident which caused him to become severely disabled.  Because of the brain injury he has partial paralysis on his right side, and due to this he has also lost his ability to speak fully and therefore struggles daily to communicate with others.  One of Steve's best qualities is not only his positive attitude that has lead him to be able to overcome the struggles he has faced, but his intoxicating smile that is noticeable to all around him. The reason I am creating this page is because during a basketball game back in high school before he had the brain injury his front teeth got knocked out and he had to get dental work and a replacement bridge put in.  He has had this since the 70's and recently due to age and other problems the bridge has fallen out leaving him with no front teeth.  The expense to have his teeth replaced is more than Steve can afford on his disability income and he has tried everything to get insurance to help but they simply do not cover this type of work.  With Steve's paralysis, and loss of speech his confidence is hindered, and to lose his Beautiful smile is just heart breaking.  He has a treatment plan with a local dentist here in Bend and they are extremely wonderful in working with Steve to make sure he gets what he needs as cost affective as possible.  To replace what he has lost as well as treating the issues with the gums and teeth still in place the cost will be around $5000.  Anyone who knows Steve knows aside from all the struggles he never gives up hope, he simply gets up every day and puts that smile on his face for the world to see.  I am creating this page for him as his friend, because I know he would never ask for me to do this, but I want to save Steve's smile, and let him continue living day to day as confident as possible. IF nothing else being able to share some of Steve’s story with others hopefully can inspire others.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.
