My name is Michael Kennedy, and I am reaching out as an alumnus of St. Hubert Catholic School in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Class of 2019.
For more than 60 years, St. Hubert Catholic School has been a place of faith, formation, and community. For generations, it has shaped children into people of integrity, service, and responsibility. Our alumni include first responders, teachers, healthcare professionals, clergy, military leaders, and civic servants who show up for others when it matters most.
After exhaustive efforts to work within existing structures, it has become clear that preserving this community requires a new path forward. We are seeking to establish an independent Catholic school grounded in the same faith, values, and commitment to whole-child formation that have defined St. Hubert for decades, but with governance that allows for transparency, shared stewardship, and long-term sustainability.
Funds raised through this campaign will support:
• legal and organizational costs required to pursue independence
• transitional planning and operations
• preservation of our educational mission and community
• access to Catholic education for families who choose it for faith, formation, and belonging
This is not about clinging to a building. It is about protecting a community, honoring a legacy, and choosing courageous leadership over quiet closure.
If you believe Catholic education matters, and if you believe children deserve communities that know them, form them, and call them to responsibility, we invite you to stand with us.
Once a Knight, always a Knight.
We will be posting more information here as the campaign continues. If ultimately the funds are not needed for the school, all donations will be refunded.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
This is an independent, community-led fundraising effort organized by alumni and supporters of St. Hubert Catholic School.
