I am Somaskanthan Sutharsan organizing this fundraiser on behalf of individuals and families in Sri Lanka who are affected by the current economic and humanitarian difficulties, particularly vulnerable families and school-going children. I am personally connected to the community through long-standing family, social, and community ties, and I work with trusted local contacts to identify genuine needs and beneficiaries.

All donations collected will be used strictly for essential humanitarian support, including food supplies, school materials, basic daily necessities, and emergency assistance. Funds will be handled responsibly and transferred through secure channels to trusted individuals or groups on the ground, ensuring transparency and that the support reaches the intended recipients. No funds will be used for personal benefit.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide timely and practical support to people who are struggling to meet basic needs due to the ongoing crisis. Even small contributions can make a meaningful difference to families and children who require immediate help.

I am connected to my donors mainly through my local community, friends, and well-wishers in the UK.
