Hi everyone, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart because my 12 week old kitten, Sparky, needs emergency surgery to save his leg.

I only just adopted Sparky and his brother, and in that short time they’ve already filled my home with love, energy, and laughter. Earlier today, while they were playing together, Sparky had a terrible accident. He fell from a height and broke his humerus, the bone in his upper front right leg.

The vets have told me that Sparky needs specialist surgery with an external fixation to repair the break. Without it, he’ll have to have his leg amputated, which is heartbreaking to even imagine for such a tiny kitten.

Because he’s only just been adopted, he isn’t yet insured, and the charity I adopted from isn’t able to help with emergency costs. The surgery and follow-up care will cost £3,000, which is far more than I can afford right now.

Sparky is such a gentle, loving kitten who just wants to play and snuggle. He deserves the chance to grow up healthy and pain-free.
