Save Solly

Hey All,

I’m reaching out to ask for help for my friend’s kitty, Solly. If you’re lucky enough to know Lauren, or follow her, you are keenly aware of the loving home she has created, and the lucky critters- human, canine, feline, and winged- that make up her family. Solly is an irreplaceable part of this family. In Solly's five short years, he has made the move from Jamaica Plain to rural Vermont, offered invaluable moral support and wrapping help as his mom started her own business, watched his parents get married, and recently, welcomed a curiously fur-less, little brother, June. 

Unfortunately, Solly suffers from Intervertebral Degenerative Disease and in the past year it has progressed rapidly to the point where he no longer has control of his rear legs. Lauren and Liam have exhausted their efforts, leaving the only remaining option of a $2,500 MRI and $6,500+ surgery. After welcoming their first child 4 months ago, this surgery isn’t an option, and they've realized they have to put Solly down. 

If any one of us were in this situation, we would dream of what we have the ability to offer here. It will take very little from all of us, to alleviate a lot of pain for Solly and his family.  Solly is only 5 years old and has too many years of nose bumps, cuddles, grumble/growls, and big brothering left to do.
