Save Sofia: Family's Beloved Dog Needs You

Everyone, meet Sofia, our amazing family dog. We got her last Easter in 2024, so she is a little over a year old. She is a pit mix. She came at a time in our life when our family was broken and going through so many problems, but through it all, she was the best and healed our hearts with her happiness, kisses, protection, playing, and her silly little faces she makes. My kids are HER babies, and the love she gives them makes my heart so warm. She is really attached to my older son, who is pictured below with her. She knows what time he goes to school, comes home, and just all around his schedule. She picked him to be her person.

Now, Sofia needs our help!! Tragically, Sofia got hit by a car last night. I rushed her to the vet hospital, and she has a few issues going on: a drain in her left leg, a dislocated hip, and some scrapes and cuts. The dislocated hip is the problem. They attempted to put it back in place, but it kept popping back out. Their advice was to get her the FHO surgery. It's estimated around $2,000, not counting any stay she may need. While she gets to come home today because the hospital she is at doesn't provide the surgery, this is still an urgent matter because of the pain and discomfort she is feeling. She does have pain meds, which is a temporary solution to her pain but not a permanent fix. I don't wanna put our beautiful baby girl down; she deserves to live a happy life. I'm asking for any donations to help with the cost. I currently already did a CareCredit account for this first visit, so that isn't an option at the moment. Her estimated cost for the visit was $1,900, and we only got approved for $2,200, so there aren't enough funds left for the CareCredit to cover the surgery as well.
