Save Socks: Support His Life-Saving Surgery

MOST RECENT UPDATE: Socks has been home since June 2nd and has been on medication and a urinary tract diet. He has been doing well these past few days, we are hopeful that the stones will dissolve. The current donations cover most of the current bills but there will be more vet bills when he goes back for a follow up. We are really hoping his stones dissolve because surgery is costly.

This is Socks, my boyfriend’s cat.

Socks suddenly began to behave differently May 30th; meowing for hours and barely urinating. Posturing in the litter box but not much or even no urine coming out.

We were hoping he was just stressed with the new apartment since my boyfriend moved on the 30th but unfortunately Socks has 3 or even 4 bladder stones.

This situation is ongoing as I am typing this June 1st at 4:26am, my boyfriend just took him back to the hospital after speaking to someone on the phone because he is displaying discomfort once again; we are hoping they can move the surgery up from Monday, to today Sunday (June 1st).

Cats do die from urinary blockages. So we are really hoping Socks can get his surgery today.

The cost for this surgery may reach up $6,000 and that’s just a number we don’t have on hand.

I (his girlfriend) was approved for $6,000 of Care Credit on May 31st, but it of course needs to be paid back. We are really hoping we don’t have to use all of it.

I’ve never created a GoFundMe before or asked people for money before. But my boyfriend and I love Socks very much and he is quite literally the sweetestttt cat ever.

Funds will ONLY be used directly to cover Socks’ hospitalization and surgery.
