The irreplaceable Sledge Forest, a vital 4,000+ acre natural treasure in Castle Hayne, NC, is facing IMMINENT destruction.
A developer plans to bulldoze this old-growth ecosystem for over 4,000 homes, threatening our clean air and water, choking our already strained infrastructure, and driving countless rare and endangered species to the brink. This project SILENCES our community's voice through a zoning loophole, prioritizing profit over our well-being.
While we have been working tirelessly to protect Sledge Forest, and are excited to have recently retained legal counsel, we need your help!
Fighting back with legal action is a signficant next step, but we URGENTLY need your help to fuel this crucial battle! By-right development should never trample the rights and quality of life of the community and its neighbors.

OUR PROGRESS
• We have made significant progress in our efforts to Save Sledge Forest. We have hired an excellent, experienced attorney, and we are working closely with local environmental groups and community members.
