Fáilte! Our humble dream was to build a community and bring a bit of the Irish hospitality and culture that we grew up with to Jack London Square in Oakland, CA. We were doing just that when Covid-19
brought our business to a halt right before St. Patrick's Day - our busiest time of the year.
We instantly closed our doors and shut down our kitchen to protect our wonderful employees and patrons and set about trying to save our pub. Unfortunately this virus is relentless and California's shelter in place keeps getting extended so even if we can reopen, the new social distancing guidelines mean that we will not be able to make up the losses of these last couple months. As a result, the reality of ever being able to open our doors again gets further and further away. We Irish are stubborn and have been doing our best but the time has come to admit that we are going to need your help to keep the Irish fire burning here in Jack London Square.
We hope that our little slice of Ireland here in Oakland has become as important to you as it is to us and if it has, please consider throwing us a few dollars to help keep the craic alive. We honestly can't do this without you. We'd love to keep our pub going, to rehire all our wonderful employees and to bring you some great food and music again, we just aren't sure were going to be able to do that without your help. In the meantime please know that we love you, and no matter what ends up happening, we are grateful to have met each and every one of you and we hope to see you again soon.
Go raibh maith agat.
