Hey everyone, my name is Alexis and this is my parents' dog, Sky. This is very hard for me and my family to do as we never ever ask for anything, but in this moment we would appreciate ANY and everything.

This past weekend, my family was out camping as they do most weekends. Our dog Sky was running around playing as her crazy self always is. Sunday night, my parents were playing fetch with her when she ran full force into a metal ring around a fire pit in the ground. My parents immediately knew she was hurt and something was wrong. My mom took her to the emergency vet the next morning, and after 6 long hours of waiting, we found out her femur is completely shattered. Our options were given as amputation, surgery including a plate and pin, or putting her down.

Now, as most know, we recently just had to put our 8-year-old lab down due to health issues, causing our family so much guilt and hurt. We can NOT put our other baby down as this is something we were told can be fixed! Sky is only 2 years old and has so much more fun and life to her.

My parents were quoted a little over $5000 today for her surgery and I am, with all kindness, asking for help This is my parents' baby and I cannot see them hurting anymore. Any and everything is appreciated. Thank you all so much ❤️
