HI everyone ❤️ here’s to me being vulnerable and sharing sky’s story in hopes that he can have the future I truly believe he can have.
I rescued Sky as a puppy when he was found as a stray and initially took him in as a foster. Despite his early behavioral challenges, I saw potential in him and decided to keep him after his first adoption placement didn’t work out. For the past year and a half, I’ve worked closely with professional trainers, investing time, energy, and money into helping Sky overcome his struggles.
Unfortunately, as he has matured, some of his behaviors have intensified. Sky has serious behavioral challenges, including resource guarding, handling sensitivities, and unpredictable aggression. After a severe incident where displayed with me, I made the difficult decision to board him with a professional trainer for intensive rehabilitation. While he has shown progress, his needs are beyond what I can safely manage in my current situation.
My goal is to ensure Sky continues receiving professional training and structured care until I can find a responsible, experienced handler or professional to take him in permanently. However, the costs of long-term training and boarding are significant. I have already invested thousands into his care, but I need financial help to continue providing him with the best possible chance at a stable future.
How Your Donations Will Help:
• Cover Ongoing Training & Boarding Fees with the professional trainer who has been working with Sky for the past 6 months.
• Support His Basic Needs while in boarding, including food, medical care, and training tools.
• Ensure a Safe Transition into a suitable home with a professional or highly experienced handler who understands his needs.
Sky is not just a pet to me—he has been my companion, and I have done everything I can to help him. I want to make sure that wherever he goes next, he is safe, supported, and set up for success. Any donation, big or small, will help ensure that he continues receiving the care he needs.
Thank you for reading and for any support you can give. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to me.
