Simon Tyrone is my 18-month love bug who was hit by a car last week. He was dragged down the road, and the driver did not stop. The little guy is a trooper, and somehow managed to make it back home, despite some internal bleeding and a pretty nasty broken leg. He’s currently wearing a splint and taking a hefty dose of pain meds, but these are just temporary measures. Without surgery, he will not heal. Without financial help, however, I cannot afford the surgery and will have to do the only humane thing possible and put him to sleep.

The patient: Simon is the most spirited, happy-go-lucky little guy – and, as I always say, I’ve never met anyone like him. He likes visiting neighbors’ porches and decks, strolling up and down the sidewalk and making friends every step of the way. He’s by far the coolest kid on the block. He’s also the sweetest cuddle monster who purrs just at the thought that you’re about to pet him. And he absolutely loves his feather toys.

The diagnosis: Simon has fractures of the tibia/fibula with significant displacement between his knee and ankle.

The good news: It’s totally fixable. Simon can have a happy, pain-free life again! All he needs is a little surgery!

The bad news: I don’t have any more funds to pay for the surgery or even amputation.

Because of my financial situation and the +$1,000 I’ve already put into his recovery this week, I am facing the decision none of us wants to make. It would be devastating to me and my little fur family to put him to sleep. He is just so vibrant and full of life -- even when he's down a leg!

I appreciate everyone’s support of Simon Tyrone -- and of me. If you can help, please know how much it means to us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
To help save Simon's life: Donate as much as you want (even $1 helps!!!) and/or share this campaign with friends and family.
Thank you so much for your love and support!
