Save Siargao and Dinagat Islands

 

Hi my name is Ron Walker I live in Vancouver Canada. I recently spent 5 months stranded because of the pandemic in the tropical paradise of Siargao. What many do not know is that Siargao was very recently in the direct path of Super Typhoon Odette. The eye of the storm passed directly over the isles of Siargao and Dinagat and the devastation it delivered was complete, most homes are destroyed and many many important pieces of infrastructure like schools and clinics and businesses and farm crops have also been lost. I am raising funds to send directly to families who desperately need help now. Every penny raised will go directly to families in need to help them start to rebuild their shattered homes and lives. Every dollar raised I will endeavour to match ,to attempt to repay the proud and poor people of the Philippines for kindness they extended to me during the pandemic. Any amount will be accepted and will go far in a country where the average wage is but $7.00 per day. The Philippines is a devoutly Christian country and lets try to make some families Christmas just a little better. Thank you
