Save Shiva: Urgent Surgery Needed

Shiva dog is my whole world. She’s eight years old and has saved my life in more ways than one. I got shiva when I was suffering from severe depression and is the only reason I made it through. She learned to tell me when my blood pressure is too high and I risk fainting and hurting myself, as well as telling me if my food has artichokes and will cause severe anaphylaxis. She’s traveled to Chile and Mexico with me. Making traveling, rafting, and other outdoor adventures safe for me to experience. She’s won local dog competitions in our small town and even played Sandy in Annie at our local theater with 30+ kids and stole the show. Anybody that knows her knows how amazing she truly is and how much she means to me. I don’t go anywhere in this life without her… and I’m so scared right now for her. I don’t know what I’d do without her…

This weekend was my birthday and we went to my cousins where she ate part of an old antler shed I didn’t know was available to her on the deck. It’s now Thursday as I write this and she’s been puking and not really passing stool. I woke to her covered in her own vomit and rushed her to the vet. After x-ray confirmation she has intestinal and bowel blockages. She’s currently has been admitted to the vet and is waiting to possibly undergo surgery. The vet bill is climbing and I don’t know what to do or even if I can afford or find someone to borrow or help me find this surgery to save her.
