Save Shazzy: Urgent Surgery Needed

I am in need of financial assistance for my sweet baby girl, Shazzy, for surgery on a partial/potential full intestinal blockage.

Shazzy is a wonderful and caring being who has nothing but a heart of gold and a spirit to match. She has been the log that has kept me floating when I felt like everything was trying to pull me under. From the love she brings to the table to the cute quirky things that melt my heart.

Shazzy got ahold of a 32" belt and ate the whole thing while at work which the vet said could easily lead to a partial or full intestinal blockage, which is life threatening. The x-rays show a metal foreign body in her stomach which could easily develop into a life threatening issue on top of the bowel obstruction.

I first noticed her throwing up, which seemed as if she might have a stomach bug, but then after the second day and not being able to keep down anything but wet food, we made an emergency trip to the vet. After examinations and x-rays taken (shown above), they were concerned that the belt would cause a full blockage and require emergency surgical intervention. Without the surgery, the risk of complications happening trying to pass it normally greatly increases by the day. After the examinations and x-ray, the vet was adamant that this would need surgical intervention.

After explaining the financial situation with the doctor and that I could not afford the surgery, we tried a couple of pet credit card companies and I was quickly denied. When telling the doctor, she said after speaking with another facility that the doctor doing the surgery would be willing to pay for half of it and that we would need to come up with the other half. ($2500) Plus the additional x-ray for follow-up imaging would be another ($500).
