My sweet cat Sesame has been living with chronic kidney disease (CKD), and with the right care she’s been doing well and enjoying life. But this weekend, she went into a sudden kidney flare-up that has left her nauseous, drooling, and barely eating.
The good news is this can be treated. The vet says she has a real chance to stabilize and get back to her happy, cuddly self if we act quickly with 24-hour IV fluids, nausea control, and phosphorus management.
Care costs between $1,200–$2,000 for just the first day, not including followup treatment.
Sesame is still bright eyed, purring, and trying her best. With your help, we can get her through this flare and back to enjoying her days. Even a small donation will go directly to:
IV fluids & monitoring
Nausea medication
Phosphate binders to lower her phosphorus
Follow-up bloodwork
Any thing helps and is very much appreciated helping Sesame to get back on her paws
