Hi, my name is Alex and you guys may know me from the FurKids dog shelter. You guys know I'll do just about anything to find our challenging dogs a home, but Scout has sat for six years waiting for her person. That person came along last month, and her name is Meredith Scott.

Meredith is a single mom of six beautiful, happy kids. With Scout, make that seven

Up until last year, Meredith was married to a man who was increasingly abusive. When she finally was able to leave and was granted a divorce last September, he still wouldn't leave her alone. Two months ago this escalated, and Meredith almost lost her life. Her ex husband abducted her in a jealous rage from her home, beat her within an inch of her life, and drove her around until crashing her car and leaving telling her in no uncertain terms he was going to kill her.

Meredith immediately reported him, but police told her due to jurisdiction (she was being driven around in multiple cities) they couldn't help. She is pressing charges, and going through every proper channel. But as a single mom, she cannot afford legal counsel atop paying for car repairs after he crashed her vehicle, and the inflated cost of day to day living right now with six young kids.
