Hi, my name is Subir. I live in Langley, Canada. I am fundraising for my brother Saurabh Ranjan who is going through a life emergency in India. He was supposed to visit us this year in Canada with his wife Manisha and his 2-year-old daughter Shaanvi.

Saurabh was diagnosed with Acute liver failure - final stage around 20 days ago and needs an urgent liver transplant. A liver transplant is costly, and the total estimates, including pre-surgery, surgery, and post-surgery, is around 100,000 CAD. This includes ongoing plasma therapy (an expensive procedure) until the transplant.

Saurabh's wife Manisha has been identified as a potential living donor after all the pre-assessment tests. Surgery will be in the next 2 weeks around the 1st week of July (Date still TBD).

Here is the breakdown so far:

1. His wife Manisha is running a campaign in India on Ketto.org [Ketto Link] which is a trusted crowdfunding website and has been able to raise 15,000 CAD so far.

2. With my savings and loans, I can add 30,000 CAD more.

3. Working with my bank to increase my credit limit. Hoping for another 20,000 CAD.

4. But we are still in need of another 35,000 CAD.

I feel that I need help now from my friends, my community here in Canada, and my academic and professional network. For this reason, I am starting to fundraise the remaining money. I am very sure everyone who is reading will help with something and spread it in their network.

Saurabh will first receive immuno-suppression injections this coming Tuesday and then surgery will happen in the next 14 days. Saurabh is admitted to one of the best hospitals in the country and the success rate of the surgery is huge. We are hoping he will be fine in the next few months and will be in good health to celebrate another Father's Day next year.

Please help with this cause. Everything I will receive will go towards Saurabh's medical expenses. I will keep updating this fundraiser with all the bills and documents for transparency.
