Save Santus Circus

Please help us at Santus Circus to raise funds so that we can resume our tour of 2020.

We had just started our tour in Sittingbourne, Kent when lockdown was issued due to the COVID - 19 pandemic. We have resided here ever since, not being able to move and with a full complement of staff from around the globe for our 2020 tour.

We have survived with the little savings we had as we were not included in the government rescue package and therefor do not have enough left in order to open our show, we have already been shown great acts of kindness from local residents and the council with offers and contributions of food and fuel. While we are forever grateful for your help, we seriously need the funds to open again so we can continue to entertain our much loved public and support ourselves and staff.

During lockdown our family was devastated due to a terrible accident involving our Co-owner/Brother/Father/Husband/Uncle, Roger Santus, who was cycling down the A2 to get food when he was involved in a major incident involving a car. He is currently in hospital where he has been for the last month in a serious condition with multiple injuries including brain damage. The only reason he was on his bicycle is because we had no insurance on our vehicles due to the lack of funding. Everyday we hope and pray for a speedy recovery but we have been advised that this may never happen. Please keep him in your prayers. 

We have been a family run traditional circus which has toured the South East for over 30 years and we have never fallen on harden times than we have now and unfortunately without your help it could result in closing our curtains for the final time. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated now matter how big or small as every penny will help us at this critical stage.

The funds raised will be used for our insurance, rent, fuel, gas, PPE, tax, changes for social distancing and help our staff get back on their feet (or high in the big top).
