I am Melissa Tone from AZ, USA. I am reopening fundraising for Sameh Ahmed and his wife Camelia Ahmed to help them survive. Any fund coming in will be spent on necessities like food and water. Please read their story below.

"Under the Open Sky" – My name is Sameh Ahmed, from Gaza. I don’t carry a fancy title, and I’m not seeking fame. I’m simply telling my story as it is—raw, painful, and honest. This isn’t a fictional tale; it’s fragments of a life I’m living with my family, shattered by war. We used to live in a small home, filled with love despite the hardships. It was me, my wife Camelia, and our two children: Rakan, my little boy whose laughter could silence the sounds of war, and Layan, my kind-hearted daughter with questions far bigger than her age. Then came that day… The sound of drones and warplanes filled the sky. Darkness fell though it was still daytime. We had no idea that our home would be erased in seconds. A missile struck. Everything ended. I lost 9-month-old Rakan… he died in my arms. I couldn’t save him. My wife Camelia was wounded by shrapnel. I pulled my daughter Layan from under the rubble—covered in dust, terrified, but alive. Our home? Gone. My car, our clothes, my children’s toys, our wedding photos—all turned to ashes. Now, I live as a displaced person in a nylon tent, in a place that barely resembles life. No clean water. No electricity. No warmth. No dignity. My daughter shivers from the cold at night. My wife sleeps on untreated wounds. All I have left are memories… and a little hope. A Plea from the Rubble I’m not asking for much.
