Meet Sadie! She is a rescue we recently saved, she is a Shih- Tzu mix. She was sent back once , she was adopted and the place she was at had a hard time getting anyone to adopt her because she was the runt of the litter. A week after her birth her Mom was found passed away suddenly, so she had to be bottle fed and without her Mom. Once we saw her we knew we had to give her a fighting chance and a good home.

During her first Vet appointment we learned that she has a very life threatening heart condition called Patent ductus arteriosus , one of her heart valves did not shut like it should have. Which means her little heart has to pump 10x harder to get her blood through her body. The Vet said she has to have surgery or she will die within the next 6 months because the left side of her heart has already enlarged and its trying to pump the blood to hard.

Unfortunately we just had to pay for one of our other pups surgery two weeks ago and are struggling to be able to come up with what it will take to covers Sadies surgery with the very short window of life she has left. The surgery will cost close to $8000.00. We have already used Care Credit to pay for our other dogs surgery a couple of weeks ago so that isn’t an option we have for Sadie. Also there is a 99% success rate if she has the surgery, and could live up to 12 to 14 years. How great would that be!

So that brings us to asking for all animal lovers out there to help us save Sadie’s life. Please give anything you can, she is an amazing girl , she is tiny and sweet and deserves a long life. We would love to give her a fighting chance, thank you for taking the time to read about our Sadie girl!
