My name is Megan, I am asking for help to bring my boy home, Rusty, his sister Suny and I were victims of a drunk driver hit and run. Both SUNY and I have sustained injury. Suny is managing well, but Rusty took the brunt of the hit. Rusty has fluid in his belly minimal traces of blood, fluid in his lungs which is causing pneumonia symptoms. He has had IV 's to combat dehydration and is at San Luis Rey Animal Hospital. So far the total bill is approximately $4,000 and will continue to climb. Rusty has always been an incredible personality, sweet, funny and intelligent horse. A day of happy excited let's go out for a ride , both horses were very much enjoying themselves. Then turned into trauma, tragedy and pain.

Rusty is recovering and continues to get stronger everyday. His vets bills are still outstanding and we are so grateful and appreciate every donation thus far. I am happy to report that this far there does not seem to be a fear of traffic or to be out of the property from either horse.
