Save Rufus: Emergency Surgery Needed

Help Us Save Rufus – Our Sweet Rescue Pup Needs Emergency Surgery

We’re reaching out to ask for help for our beloved rescue dog, Rufus.

We rescued Rufus in December 2022 from an elderly man named Lou who was entering hospice. What started as a temporary placement, became permanent when Lou passed away within a month. Rufus quickly became a cherished member of our family: he’s sweet, goofy, and full of personality. He really is loved by everyone who meets him.

Tonight, Megan rushed him to the emergency vet after he became seriously ill. It turns out Rufus ate a corn cob, and it’s now obstructing his small intestine. He needs surgery immediately to save his life.

With Brooke and Camryn both starting their sophomore years in college in the next two weeks, this unexpected and urgent medical expense is more than we can handle right now. We hate to ask for help, but we’re at a loss and doing everything we can to give Rufus the care he needs.

The vet said the surgery will be anywhere between $6,000 and $10,00. Any amount you could contribute would be greatly appreciated or if you could just share this fundraiser, we would be so incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Rufus and our family.
