Hello, my name is Makaylyn McWilliams. I currently live in Pittsburgh. I have two kitties, Ruby and Scrim. Ruby recently got diagnosed with FIP, which is a fatal disease that cats can contract. I am not the type of person to ask for money or help, but my pet insurance is not covering the costs that are associated with this. As of right now for receipts and papers, I have the cost of the initial visit, that is paid for, and a 10 day supply of medication, that is also paid for. Ruby will unfortunately need 74 more days worth of medication which is roughly around 2 thousand dollars. My only other option is to put my kitty to sleep, and I will not do that: she is young (barely a year old) and a very lively, happy cat, despite having FIP. If I can get some help, it would be appreciated. Like I said, I do not ask for help often, but I’m in my first year as a graduate student for social work at the Uni of Pittsburgh. I have a job but it does not pay as well
as I would like it to. Anything helps.
