Hi friends, family, kind strangers, and fellow dog lovers,
Meet Roxy — a chocolate lab pitbull mix with a heart of gold and a smile that could melt steel beams (even if she only has a few teeth left to show it). Roxy’s journey began in a trailer park in Milton, Georgia, where life wasn’t always kind. She was rescued from a kill shelter and came into my life as a foster — but within days, I knew she was mine forever.
It’s been almost 3 years since Roxy officially adopted me, and in that time, she’s been my rock through life’s ups and downs. Whether I was celebrating a win or nursing a heartbreak, Roxy was there — tail wagging, eyes sparkling, and always ready to snuggle like it was her full-time job.
But today, I need your help to return the favor.
Roxy recently got into something she shouldn’t have outside (classic Roxy), and managed to swallow an entire corn on the cob. Yes, a whole cob. It’s now lodged in her small intestine, causing a life-threatening blockage that requires emergency surgery.
The vet says time is critical — and so is funding. The cost of surgery is a massive, unexpected expense, and I’m turning to the people who know the power of love, laughter, and a good dog story to help us through.
If you’ve ever:
- Smiled at a dog uncontrollably,
- Rooted for the underdog (literally),
- Or believed that every pup deserves a second (or third) chance…
Please consider donating to help Roxy get the surgery she needs to keep smiling, tail-wagging, and stealing snacks for years to come.
Every dollar helps — and even if you can’t donate, sharing this story means the world to us.
Thank you for being part of Roxy’s rescue story — again.
With love, gratitude, and a few dog hairs, Andrew
