Hi, my name is Shima, and I’m fighting to save Roxy’s life.

Roxy has already survived the unimaginable. Used as a bait dog in dogfighting, she endured horrific abuse before she was finally rescued. Just when she thought she was safe, her world was shattered again.

My husband and Will, Roxy’s owner, were best friends since childhood. Will loved Roxy fiercely—so much so that at one point, he lived in his car just to keep her safe. He gave her a second chance when no one else would. He was her protector, her home.

But last month, Will passed away suddenly, leaving Roxy and his wife, Vanessa, in a devastating situation.

Vanessa has fought tirelessly to keep Roxy safe, but with no job, nowhere to live, and no fosters or rescues able to temporarily take her due to her aggression, she was left with an impossible choice. Roxy was scheduled to be put down today—March 12, 2025, at 4 PM.

We were completely out of options—until a miracle happened.

At the very last moment, a behavioral specialist in Bend, Oregon, stepped up and offered to take Roxy in for one month. This gives us a small but precious window of time to raise funds and find a permanent solution—but we can’t do it alone.

We need to raise funds to cover her training and care while Vanessa works toward securing a stable home—one where she and Roxy can be reunited. Every dollar buys Roxy more time, more hope, and a real chance at the love she deserves.
