For 15 years, I've built a practice focused on serving our community. I have kept my rates intentionally low as compared to others in my field, and volunteered for the Returning Veterans Project (average 4 hrs per week) for the past 9 years. I offer smoking cessation treatments for free.  Education and self-care coaching are huge for me. My goal has always been to spread the care where it's needed, not to get rich, and I feel my 5 star ratings on Google and Yelp show that I provide a positive benefit. Now I'm in a double bind - instead of earning a living, thanks to Covid-19 I am spending money on an office that can't earn income. I didn't just lose my paycheck - my job is costing me just over $1300 per month in expenses like office rent, malpractice insurance, internet, etc. that aren't practical to stop for a short-term closure (I was able to turn off Yelp, laundry, and some other costs).

I set this goal for less than two months expenses for the clinic, although I am not confident I'll be back at work then. We are pinching pennies till they scream, and hopefully can survive on Robert's income alone (while that lasts).
