Hi, my name is Fernando Darosa, and I am the owner of Rosa’s Pizza in Selma, CA. Rosa’s Pizza has been in the family, and in Selma for 28 years. I bought the business from my father about seven years ago, while the business was struggling to survive. Since that time, I have added solar panels, replaced refrigeration, and made modifications to help reduce operating costs and increase sales. The plan worked, but also added cost through loans that needed to be paid off. The business became profitable a few years later, but then COVID-19 struck about a year ago and forced us to close our dining room for most of that time. I also applied for the PPP Loan but did not receive any help. I have fallen behind on rent and a few other expenses.
While it saddens and hurts me to ask my friends and loyal customers for help, I feel I owe my staff and community to keep trying. I pray that COVID-19 will be over soon, and all of us that are suffering will return stronger.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Fernando Darosa.
