Rooh, often quoted as the “mayor” of her apartment complex, fell violently ill last Monday, 12/8, and after a week of hospitalization and surgery there is still no explanation as to why she is not getting better.

Rooh, 5 yrs old, was admitted to Geneva Lakes Animal Hospital. What was first thought to be an obstruction causing vomiting and nausea, exploratory surgery did not find anything, however, stagnation (a pause) in her GI tract, is leaving the vets perplexed. Rooh may require going to another facility, with specialists, to further inquire what is going on. Her normal labs, sweet disposition, and otherwise healthy history, has given her vets hope and they don’t want to give up on her.

As you can imagine, treatment has incurred the cost of $2000 and the possible transfer to the hospital is already estimated to cost an additional 2-3 thousand dollars.

Rooh is a special cat, not only for her family which consists of her mom/human but her brother Beazley as well. Neighbors of Rooh, in her building, have adopted her as either own. Her social and sweet disposition, and presence playing outside have garnered her plenty of friends in her apartment complex who say that she has becoming an integral part of their routines, coming or going from home. She has even garnered an aunty, a fairy god mother of sorts, through her ability to connect to people and make them feel special.

I, Rooh’s human, am heartbroken and bewildered due to this dilemma and am hoping support in this manner could help offset some costs in order for me to get the best care and treatment possible for my precious little angel. I am grateful for any contributions and efforts of sharing this profile. All contributions will be used towards medical care/billing in this cause.
